Jazz Piano Undergraduate Certificate

Advance your piano skills with the Jazz Piano Undergraduate Certificate in °ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê¹ÙÍø’s Boyer College of Music and Dance. Whether or not you are a music major, this 12-credit certificate will provide you with foundational knowledge of jazz piano and the experience performing as part of a group of jazz musicians.

Throughout the certificate program, you’ll gain essential knowledge in both practice and theory. Introductory coursework will give you a foundation in the major written and aural concepts in music theory. Through several private lessons, you’ll sharpen your technical skills. Other courses will teach you to improvise and play in a small ensemble.

If you are interested in the Jazz Piano Undergraduate Certificate, you must be in good standing and have completed at least 15 credits at °ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê¹ÙÍø by the initial requested semester of certificate coursework.
