Applicants must have completed their bachelor’s degree. A degree in a related field is preferred; however, all applications will be considered.
Candidates will be asked to submit the following along with their application.Â
Submit official transcripts from every college and university you have attended. Applicants are expected to have majored or minored in history at the undergraduate level or to have received an MA in history. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications are considered on a case-by-case basis.
Submit three letters of recommendation from faculty and professionals.
Your statement should be about 500 to 750 words in length. Include your specific interest in °ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê¹ÙÍø’s program, your research and future career goals, your major historical interests, and your previous academic and research achievements.
The Graduate Record Examinations (GRE) general test is optional. Scores may be submitted if available.
A current professional résumé is required.
Submit a writing sample that demonstrates your ability to conduct research and write a scholarly paper relevant to the discipline. It should be fully referenced according to a professional, scholarly style manual and should not exceed 30 pages in length.
